What Is The MNRF Treatment?
Micro-needling Radiofrequency (MNRF), also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that uses radio-frequency energy to remodel scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks by producing collagen. This treatment creates a wound on your skin which stimulates the skin to produce collagen to replace the wounded tissue. The healed skin looks smooth, tight and unblemished. Unlike other scar reduction treatments, MNRF addresses all scars in a single session, although several sessions of MNRF would be needed to get the desired result. Collagen is an essential protein that keeps your skin radiant, smooth, firm, and young. Ageing causes a decline in collagen. Injuries can also cause collagen depletion, such as stretch marks, acne scars etc.
What to expect during the consultation?
Before the treatment, you have a consultation with your assigned doctor. The doctor will examine your skin, review your health history and discuss your goals for the procedure. The doctor will also take photos of the area to compare your skin before and after the treatment. This is an excellent time to ask any questions about the treatment.
Radiofrequency micro-needling uses multiple tiny sterile microneedles to injure the skin and cause physical trauma. This trauma incites the derma layer to rebuild. Needles are introduced in the skin with preselected depths. RF is delivered through these needles to the dermis hence making collagen.
