What Is The Laser Mole
Removal Treatment?

Skin tags/DPNs are minutes, delicate pieces of skin that stick out on a slender stem. They appear as small growths of skin that some people develop on the face, neck, armpits, and body folds like the groin. They are primarily pedunculated, known to be painless and do not cause any discomfort.

Laser Mole removal treatments are so precise that only the mole is eliminated, leaving the surrounding tissue intact and healthy. Laser therapy is safe for all skin types, colours and sizes of moles, producing long-lasting results.

At Metamorphosis Clinic, we use three methods for mole removal: Excision, Co2 Laser, and Radiofrequency depending upon the size and site of the lesion. Co2 laser mole removal is the most popular choice at our Clinic. It is an effective and pain-free way of removing skin tags/DPNs/Moles, and no recovery period or downtime is needed after the treatment.

No matter where the skin tag is, the removal treatment leaves little or no scarring on your body or face. We assure you that Laser Removal treatments are safe and have nothing to be terrified of. These treatments work excellently to eradicate moles by exploding light radiation into the mole and breaking down the skin cells that make up the mole.

Moles/Skin tags/DPNs can be elicited immediately during consultation.

Our skin care doctors will discuss your mole situation thoroughly and ask you for any associated family history along with medications, vitamins & supplements you are taking. Do inform us if you have ever done a mole removal procedure on the same or a different area. Additionally, after the first laser removal session, if you notice any new changes around your mole/tag or any accompanying symptoms, do bring them to our attention so that we can treat them accordingly.

Topical/Local Anesthesia is given before removing the mole/skin tag/DPN. Then the laser is directed to the cells that form the border of the mole; those cells absorb the laser beam, and the mole fumes and crumbles down. There is no impact on the adjacent skin. Post Procedure antibiotic creams are applied. In case of more considerable moles, dressing is done post-procedure. Our professional doctors will explain to you the post-care routine you need to follow.

Treatment FAQ’s

blank
How Does The Laser Remove The Mole?

The laser beam bursts down the cells in the mole/tag, and it fumes and crumbles down.

Does The Treatment Hurt?

In most cases, topical anesthesia is applied before removal of the mole/skin tag/DPN which makes the pain factor minimal.

Why DO People Opt For This Laser Mole Removal?

Besides moles/skin tags/DPNs being aesthetically unpleasant, many people opt for this procedure as it reduces discomfort. For example, a mole/tag can be injured during shaving or if it is present in an area where clothes or accessories are pressuring it.

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

From start to finish, it takes approximately 45 minutes.

How Long Does It Take To Heal After Laser Mole Removal Treatment?

It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to achieve a smooth pink mark; the mark fades within a few weeks when larger lesions are treated. Smaller lesions take less time to reach a pink mark, about 5 to 7 days.

What Will It Look Like Immediately After Treatment?

The mole/tag will be gone, and a reddish mark on the area will be treated. The reddish marks form a scab and fall off over the next 1 to 2 days. Once the scab falls, there is smooth pink skin.

When Can I Start Wearing Makeup Again?

You should only wear makeup once the scab has fallen off the treated area.

Is Laser Mole Removal Better Than Surgery?

Yes, an incision isn’t required, reducing the risk of scarring and infection.

When Can I Go Back To Work?

What are the side effects of Laser mole removal treatment?

Reddening of the skin, pain, infection, scarring, and irritation to the treated area.
