What is the
Hydration Filler?

Skin generally tends to dry and lose moisture quickly and therefore looks dull and dry and develops fine lines and wrinkles with passing time. Hydration Fillers are not your traditional fillers that add volume to your face. They specifically work on the condition of your skin. Hydration filler primarily works on the skin to improve its elasticity and rejuvenate it. The hyaluronic acid in these injectables are small molecules that bind water; they are placed underneath the skin and hydrate the skin internally. The result is fuller, tighter and glowing skin. It is like age-proofing your skin. It nourishes the skin from the inside out. A regular course of 1 session with 2 to 4 syringes across your face and neck are effective for lasting results from 9 months to a year. Routine 6-9 months maintenance sessions will help in getting lasting results. It can be discussed with your doctor. The skin is numbed by application of topical anesthesia for 30 minutes, and the selected points are injected with a fine needle; the skin of the treated area develops small bumps, but these are massaged down instantly after the treatment. Soon after the injection, the hyaluronic acid flows smoothly and gets distributed evenly in the skin. Depending on the treatment area and your goal, the doctor would decide the next session date after the first treatment.

What to expect
during consult?

Before the treatment, an in-depth skin consultation would be done by our doctor. The skin assessment result and your expectation will help the doctor decide the course of therapy regarding the number of syringes and the time gap between each session. Your before pictures would be taken. Necessary preventive measures, before and after treatment, what can you expect after the treatment and your after pictures would be taken after completion of the treatment course to show the enhanced results. It would be best if you avoid drinking alcohol at least 24 hours before this treatment. Please inform your doctor if you have any underlying medical conditions or are on any medications.

Treatment FAQ’s

What Is Hyaluronic Acid?

It’s a substance that our body uses to keep our skin lubricated, solid and healthy. Natural hyaluronic acid is always present in our bodies. It helps bind water within our skin, assisting our skin to remain moist, elastic and supple.

Due to aging and surrounding environmental factors such as sun, pollution, and free radicals, the level of hyaluronic decreases; therefore, our skin loses its ability to retain moisture naturally. That is why the skin needs to borrow some of the hyaluronic acids to help it retain moisture.

Skin dehydration may also lead to eczema, psoriasis, itching, flakiness and wrinkles. Here is where dermal fillers for hydration come into the picture

What Does a Hydrating Filler Contain?

A hydrating filler contains hyaluronic acid. The hydration, generally injectables, are tiny molecules of a gel-based substance under the skin. They pull and hold the water into a gel particle that keeps the skin hydrated.
