– Therapist cleanses your treatment area
– Application of a topical numbing cream and allows settling for 30 mins
– After 30 mins, the Topical numbing cream is wiped off
– An ultrasound gel is applied
– Hifu probe is placed against the skin. Using the ultrasound viewer, the doctor adjusts the device to the proper parameters
– The ultrasound energy is then delivered to the targeted area in short pulses for around 30 to 60 minutes as per the area involved As ultrasound energy has been used, you may feel a bit of heat and a tingling sensation. After the treatment, you can go home and resume routine chores.

What Exactly Is Hifu Treatment?
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Therapy is a skin tightening procedure that generates and circulates heat using ultrasound, stimulating collagen and elastin production.
How Does It Work?
Our skin remains firm and glowy due to the high concentration of collagen and elastin in the dermis layer. When the production of collagen reduces, the skin starts to sag. HIFU stimulates collagen building via ultrasound energy to the dermis layer to reverse this.
The energy causes minor injury to the skin tissue. While tissue healing begins, collagen forms, re-tightening skin naturally without any skin surface damage.
HIFU targets four different layers of skin, namely the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous fat and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS). Therefore each extra cartridge is designed intending to focus on different skin layers. The 1.5mm cartridge targets the upper dermis, the 3.0mm cartridge targets the lower dermis, and the 4.5mm cartridge targets the SMAS Layer.
